Happened upon a reference to a 1999 Mob of Roos $1.00 coin while researching my wish list for Australian coins minted for circulation in a picture of Dansco Deluxe Album.

1999-Mob-Of-Roos-$1

There is no reference to this coin in the latest Mcdonald's pocket guide. And I can't seem to locate any information about its production elsewhere. The RAM web site doesn't list it.

Does this coin exist? Or is this a mistake in the Dansco Album?

It's an error on Dansco's part. There's a spot there for a 2001 Mob of Roos as well, another one that doesn't exist for circulation.

If you look at that folder, there are a heap of those coins that were NCLT (Non Circulating Legal Tender), so it it's meant to be for circulation issues, it's got a lot of errors in it. Too many errors to make it usable!

It might be best to look for an Aussie made Album or folder.

Thanks for the info folks.

I am not in the market for coin albums

I am just trying to populate a CLT? list for Australian coins that I can use as a check/wish list.

I think I have completed the pre decimal period. The decimal period seems to be more difficult with many more NCLT's to confuse things. Not to mention errors in reference lists such as the Dansco Album, and the RAM web site.

I am also having displays made based on these lists for the presentation of these collections so I do want them to be accurate.
