Trying to get an accurate grade for this coin. Any help would be great. I wish I had my camera (wife took it to TX) this coin has strong toning on it. Thanks

I would put it in the upper end AU range for sure. What are the obverse spots?

Nice 1909 VDB! Going with a 62. Reverse is a high 64. Red/Brown of course.

I think the spot on his head is dirt. Any suggestions on how/if I should remove it? Is it worth it to potential damage it with acetone?

An acetone dip will not hurt the coin. Not sure if it will remove it though. I would wait till BadThad chimes in ;)

MS details, environmental damage. The spot(s) appear to be either carbon or verdigris. I can't tell from the pictures.

If I would give it an acetone bath would that remove the toneing it has? I know you can see it from the scans, but it has a great rainbow look to it.
