What can be done to help out this poor coin and the hundred others I have in a similar state.

Unfortunately, some of the verdigris is heavy/severe and has formed pits. The deep verdigris will be impossible to remove without damaging the surfaces. However, you'll definately see the light to moderate verdigris removed with VC. Also, the ReAcT2â„¢ will bind to any remaining heavy verdigris and render it inactive.
On a coin like this I'd first soak each side for 24 hours. At the end of the cycle, while the coin is still submerged in fluid, I'd use a wooden STIM-U-DENT plaque remover or thorn and work the heavy veridgris carefully to see if it comes off. Just be careful to not stratch the surfaces, take your time, be gentle....and up and down tapping motion is the safest. When you don't see any more progress on the heavy stuff, take out the coin and let it air dry for at least 24 hours (each side)....it's fine to let it dry even longer...I sometimes let them sit for a week with occassional flipping.
If you think you could make more progress, it's safe to repeat the whole process. I usually limit myself to two attempts because it's probably not coming off after that......and you probably don't want it off because the surface will be damaged underneath from the verdigris eating it away. Personally, I'd rather have a coin with some specks of verdigris than an obviously cleaned and pitted coin. If you protect the coin from air/humidity well after VC treatment and drying, the verdigris will never grow again.

Excellent pictures BTW!
If you don't mind, some before/after pics would be AWESOME!

Is it just me, or are we all looking forward to the day when Richard owns every single 2C still existing?

OK I see some improvement. A Problem however. When the coin is submerged or coated in the Verdi-care. I cannot see the verdigris to pick at it with a dentapick. Would it work better using the solution in an ultra sonic cleaner? If so should I mix it with anything or use it on its own.

WOW! That is some wicked, hard verdigris....not what I expected!
I've never tried it in a sonicator, it might be worth a shot. Never dilute VC with anything, it's made to be used straight. If you're having trouble seeing the verdigris, just set the coin on a paper towel, add enough to cover the surface, let it stand for about 5 minutes and use some magnification to work at the nasty bits (while under fluid). As thick as the patina is on this coin, I doubt you're going to rub it off, so try pressing pretty hard and rubbing it. I'd rub the crap out of that whole area under the shield, I'm not sure, but that looks like dirt.
If you want to send me one, I'd like to take a shot at one of these. I'd gladly return it when done. I'm starting to think an extended soak of a few days might help. This is one TOUGH cookie!

Question, did you rinse this coin with water after the VC? The verdigris should have taken on a darker color, it still looks bright green in the picture.

Oops yes I did rinse it it completely slipped my mind not to. Also I have new lights for my camera so the picture is a little lighter I have saved the current setup so I can use it again with the coin. Don't worry I was not joking when I said I hundreds like this to play with I'll try this for another 24hrs in the ultrasonic cleaner with verdi-care. I'll set it up for a 90 second cleaning cycle every hour. Will not rinse this time. More Pics on Sat morning

I don't recommend rinsing, just let it be so it stays well protected. A good drying period is important because VC does contain some water. There's no need to rinse at all, VC is a protectant not a dip and it will "lock in" the coin where it is after treatment.
