I have seen some dealers and collectors put a banknote in an individual currency sleeve and then put that in the album page pocket. Is there any benefit to doing that? Do they just do it sothey can slip the note out of the page easier without touching the actual note or is there some other benefit?

I think its as you say, taking the bill out of the page with touching it and being able to examine it without touching it. Also protection if you hand it to another person and a little added protection from the environment.
