Agreed. A genuine Calcutta rupee from the 1700s looks like this. It should be fairly thick, weigh about 11 and a half grams, and be silver. Your coin looks thin and un-silvery. Further, the beaded border is quite un-Indian in character; early Indian coins tend to have designs that go right up to the border and beyond.

But this one does not look like a genuine Murshidabad rupee. Bengal presidency coins have better execution. This one must be an imitation. The link Sap gave shows a genuine rupee with the mint name "Murshidabad".
