1843 Mexico 8 Reales: Authenticity, Grade, And Comments?

I was given a box of assorted world coins which looks like the miscellaneous remnants of a pretty nice collection. It included this coin which appears to be a Mexico 8 reales cap and rays coin from the Zs mint. I have doubts about authenticity however since it weighs about 25.6 grams and my old Krause catalog shows the target weight at 27.07 grams. It is non-magnetic and makes a convincing "ring" sound when tapped or gently dropped onto a tile surface.

I'd appreciate any comments!
