Could someone show me the difference between the 1956 type 1 & Type 2 Franklin half dollar?

This may help. The type 1 is the rarer of the two
and on the 1956 that would be on the proofs only.

Be careful of sellers advertising their bullion strikes as type 1s, as all bullion strikes are type 1. It is the proof type one that represents about only 5% of all the 1956 proofs and is fairly rare.
