Is this made of .999 pure silver? If so what should these sell at? I found a site that is selling them for $250/piece.
Thank you

One pound what? Troy? Avoirdupois? Since it is privately made, I do not really see much of a premium over silver value- it is just a big hunk of bullion.

I would use caution when buying these large bullion pieces. I have seen some that were actually copper with silver plating. If the strike is mushy and there is no .999 on the round, then I would avoid them like the plague. Heck, if I were able to handle it before purchase, I would file the edges even.

You also have to be careful because there are also some that are a pound in weight but are those 100 mil .999 fine silver clad (plated) things. Be VERY careful with any privately made copies of the ASE.

Man... that's very discouraging. Because I am getting a heck of a deal on the OTHER silvers and coins they had (nickels, dimes, quarters, halves, dollars).
I am not experienced at all in telling silver, and I also do not have any tools to tell. :(

I have one and it is 1 Troy LB which is 12 ounces not 16 ounces. I have had one for years and I paid like 70 bucks for mine from one of those tv shows so you can imagine it was probably only worth about 35 then. There are some that are not real silver and you have to be very careful when buying items like this

Not sure how it would be stored. I would just buy it because the deal on the other coins. Then I would sell this beast lol.

Ouch, I don't like that it doesn't say the purity of the Silver on it. As far as storing them, mine came with an airtite type case it fits in. mine also has a certificate of authenticity from the maker

I think you are fine 135, with what you said in the above post....
Nice way to knock out 12 oz. of silver. I would not want many of them, but would be cool to have one, as I already have a 12 oz. silver hundred dollar Ben bill....
