I realize that these do not hold much of a premium
but thought it may be a cool idea to see if we could possibly try and track down the family of the person who has their inscription on it. It was in with a collection that my stepdad had received from his older brother when he passed away. His family tree shows no relative that could be attached to this medal. His family as well as mine are from Massachusetts. My grandfather fought in WWI as well as my stepdads father. Possibility that the son/daughter of this medals inscribed name could still be alive or at the least a grandson if not a great grandson. If we or I could find them I would like to send it to the eldest living family member. Images are only scans but do show the name pretty well. C.N. Woodward
Also, were these all only issued in 1919 ?
Thanks.

I Know a Mr. N.R. Woodward in TX. I do not know if he is a native of this state or not.

That could be a start. Maybe I or someone can check death records. Would have to estimate then search quite a few diff. years though. This person could of been a teenager or in their
20's or 30's or even older when they received it.

Vermontensium, Yours also has the same name on it ?

This medal was awarded to my grandfather, William Molony, sometime after World War I. Having been made out of steel it's obviously seen better days.
