wow, based on votes, it looks like BoA hates coin collectors. lol. Well's Fargo is very good to me and the tellers don't mind if I dump. they say they have a lot of roll searchers.

WF is great, if you guys are close to a credit union, some of them have DIY coin machines and then you just bring them the receipt which is awesome. I don't mind those that bring in change, it gives me a rest away from all the sales and service stuff.

I don't deal much with BoA. Wlls Fargo (Wachovia) is where I get rolls. The tellers know me and are always cheerful. My dump bank is a credit union with a free counter for members. They even count it for you.

Now if we could just get a coin collector that works at BofA to see this poll and forward it to the higher ups and casually mention the 8 or 10,000 members or so.....

Looks like Well's Fargo is the coin collectors bank.

I've never had a problem with BoA. I use them for bank boxes, and for dumping. 3 of the tellers save any wheats, and some silver for me. In fact, one handed me a 1920S Buffalo 3 days ago. It's pretty worn, but it's still a 1920S Buff. I have less than $10.00 in a "free" checking account there. I do my personal banking at chase, and my business banking somewhere else. So I'm guessing they're not treating me special due to the amount of $ I have with them eh? Cookies and doughnuts delivered early on a Saturday morning has probably helped.

Different regions must have different rules. I have never really had a problem with BofA. Only real problem has been if they bother to ask if I have an account before they sell me some coin. Half the time they won't after I tell them no. I can't fault them for that...

Well as you can guess I walked into the local BoA. I try to space my dumps but I ended up revisiting one I had dumped at not too long ago. Usually minor just 1 or 2 hundred here and there but probably a few too many times. Even more unluckily when my turn came up it was with the exact same teller as last time. I only realized when I was walking up. So...blah blah blah...5 dollar fee because they don't count them here and have to ship them out you know the drill.
I guess after my last dump she ran and blabbed to her superior who said 'invent some imaginary official 'policy' to get rid of the annoying gnat'. I wasn't able to dump my +300 there so I drove down to another branch which apparently didn't get the memo about the new fee luckily.
For a little while I couldn't help but feel somewhat angry and had fun imagining ridiculous scenarios like coming back and dumping 5000 dollars at once or somehow taking control of BofA and firing the teller or her supervisor. But whatever, I got a good laugh..the annoying thing is its the closest branch but ya gotta do what you can to adapt.

Yup I work at the bank. I'm going to try to get rolls from a credit union. I've only dumped at a credit union. Wf has been great to get rolls for me. Even when they do not know I'm a team member. They just can't give out too much due to not having enough for their merchants.

Around where I live Bank of Ameriaca is slowing buying up many smaller and some really larger banks so they are all over the area. It surprized me when a place called LaSalle Bank was bought by them since that bank was really, really large here. Now there are about 10 Bank of America's within seveal miles of me. They sort of ticked me off when they bought a local bank withing walking distance of me then closed the place. Idiots. For a while all would take change but did have a charge for over $100. All had coin coin counters but as they took over this area, I was told by one of their officers that as coin counters break down, out they go. their new policy is you bring in coins, they are put into a plastic bag, shipped out for counting. The results are posted in your next statement if you have an acount there including the charge for that service. NO ACCOUNT? Then your sent a check with an even larger service charge. Welcome to the new banking system.

Welcome to the new banking system. I like the plastic coin bags. I no longer have to "re-roll" anything. I search through 2 boxes of cents...replace the ones I find, seal the bag. Done-deal! Write my account info on the bag, and swap it for 2 more boxes. Heck, I haven't "swiped" my card for identification there in over a year. And I've never once been "dinged" for giving them a bag of loose coins that was under the $ amount. It's just a guess on my part, but I'm betting that Brinks doesn't even "count" the coins in the bag. I think they simply weigh them instead. Next time you pick up a bank box, count the actual coins inside each roll.
