Well, after having his safe cracked the first time, our resident safe master has decided not to use his birthday as the combination ever again!

So, he has come up with a way to generate random numbers divided into 3 columns. He will choose one number from each column every time he changes the combination.

The safe will not let him choose the same number twice, so all 3 numbers will be different.

One crack attempt per day per member defined as midnight forum time. I will update the list everyday *around* midnight every day, so don't hazard a guess after midnight without seeing the updated list!

I'll let you know if I hear any of the tumblers "click".

Good luck! And don't get caught!

Here is the list he has generated this time:

Hey kids - rumor has it that our resident safemaster has stashed a nice little collection of world coins in his safe!

He has also noticed that some things have come up missing and starting to suspect that someone has cracked his safe in the past. So, he has hired a watch dog to roam the halls at random. If the watch dog happens to stumble in while you are cracking the safe, you will be busted! But, you didn't hear all of this from me!

Don't get caught!

Thanks for the contest Scooby, this one looks to be fun!

Ok I think I know the combination already , but I don't know how to get past the guard dog . So for strategy, I went back and looked at the one older contest from search. Still not sure, how exactly does the elimination process work here How do I eliminate anything from what Dave said?

The combination was changed after the last time it was cracked to whatever it is now and will remain the same until it is cracked again.

You don't really eliminate combinations base on what has been posted, you will get periodic clues from me when I hear a tumbler "click".

For example there may be several attempts and then I may chime in and say "I heard a click with the last 5 tries". Each night around midnight'ish, I will eliminate some of the numbers that have been tried that did not "click".

Another little subtle hint: notice in the first square that there are duplicates of numbers, such as 50 in the first box. Well, if I eliminate one of the 50's later, you can safely assume the other 50 is not valid (in that square only!). But, I may leave it on the list for people to choose it.

It's up to you as to how much thought you want to put into it.

You may just want to choose from the available numbers that remain on the sheet and play it like a lottery.

Like I said earlier, I may cross out only one of the 50's.

If we keep standing here discussing it, we're all gonna get caught!

Great. My flashlight just died.
