Hi all,
Found this awhile back and wanted to share with the family.Sorry for the poor photo but it was a bugger to shoot. You can see the trails as three dots on the left side on the letters BER.I have another that is MS but is WAY to shiny for me to capture a picture of.Just wanted to let you know it is out there so you can look for them. What do you all think of it?All input welcome and have a great fourth-of-July!

Thanks John. Very educational. And the photo not bad, but do you have a larger version? I am trailing behind in identifying trails, because I've been doubling up on learning to spot Doubled Dies.
I did find a nice RPM the other day... photographing a mint mark is a new challenge altogether!

Not sure what you mean by larger version. Have you checked http://traildies.com/ There is a lot of nice photos there and even more info on trail dies. Taking a photo of a MM is a lot easier for me then trying to capture trails in a photo, but then again I only have a so-so usb digital microscope. I wish I had a Lighthouse usb digital microscope.

Your photo is excellent... but yes... I meant larger image.... a bit greedy I am. I need to invest in a digital imaging/viewing device. What photos I take are using the macro function on a decent digital camera... at the fringes of its range. (or WORSE... scanning!!)

Any way Great Post! thanks

if I posted a larger photo it would be hard to see the trails on this one. You should look into buying a Lighthouse usb digital microscope.

Thanks for the interest,
John1
