Well I stopped at an antique shop to see of they had any coins, and the guy said he would bring some in the next day for me to look at. We got to talking about silver etc. and I thought thats what he was going to bring in, but it turned out different.

I know the large cents are culls, but I bought them because they are old.
Dates of large cents-Top, 1835-1854 Middle-1853-Bottom-1846-1819 small date

I like the big british pennies so I bought them all, and I don't have any of them Australian pennies so I bought a few of them. Any value to them? The 1940 is the nicest.

I have absolutely no idea where the big silvery one is from. I think its from India, and also there is no denomination type and its confusing me. I want to say its got some silver in it but I can't tell. Anybody know? The date is 1898.

Sorry about the scans they are terrible.

The large silver looks like a British crown.
It's silver contents alone is .84 oz

At that time the British monarch was still emperor of India (or Empress)

The 1940 Australia penny can come from either the Perth or Melbourne mint. If there is a dot between the designer's initials (K.G. on the reverse above the kangaroos tail), then it's from the Perth Mint. The Perth Mint is the more desirable one from this date. If it doesn't have the dot between them, then it's from the Melbourne mint.

2010 Krause catalog price
VF XF
Melbourne $1.50 $20
Perth $5.00 $50

Most of the time catalog prices aren't very realistic. You should check to see what they are selling for on ebay or other places online, just to see a more realistic price.

Looks like the start of a world coin collection. Keep going back to that same place just in case.

well he didn't have much else than that, but he did have a 1816 large cent with a hole in the top. Other that that the coin was in VG. He wanted $2 but I said no, it wasn't worth it. (To myself)
