I just recently went to a coin show where a man had a whole hoard of Stone Mountain Halves. He was selling the MS70 graded by PCGS for $175. Do you think this was too good to be true?

You were in the presence of a shyster and unethical seller.

I can assure you that no (zero, nada, none) classic silver commemorative have been graded MS70 by PCGS ... so you were either looking at fake PCGS slabs ... or most likely some basement slabber (your dealer?) who tried to confuse the issue with something like PGCS on the slab.

Run away ... a true PCGS MS66 Stone Mountain is a $500 coin ...
