Um, the forum software still parses code inserted between Code tags. Isn't that kinda, um, useless? I was trying to post what a properly written Image tag would look like, and got a proper image.

Dave, that's to eliminate parsing of html code (which is turned off anyway for obvious reasons), not forum code. You're right, for our forum its kind of useless, but for say, a web design forum, it's very practical.

Let me check, I know some of the developers have been talking about a mod for no-parse tags for forum code, let me see if anyone finished yet. Maybe Rui will see this and shed some light on it also.

In the meantime, you can squeeze an empty open and close bold tag into the code to break it where needed and the empty bold tags won't show.

You can get them to demonstrate the code for someone correctly.

Hope I explained it good enough.

Yeah, I caught it while replying to your post in the original thread. It's kinda cool how the embedded tags break the IMG tag, without ever being visible in the post, yet are visible in the Reply screen.

Yeah, gets the job done until I figure out something better.

Boby gave an accurate answer, as always. MarcelG wrote a mod to add no parse tags and AFAIK, it works. I can send you the link to it, if you so want.
