EG, I have several extra sets of dimes.nickels and Lincoln cents. If you don't fill out the dimes and nickels at the end of the month with your packages I can probably help you out. I also have a couple of full 41' and up Lincoln Cent books plus a partial 09'-40' book I would trade for some coins from your part of the world. I'm just starting to look for some world coins and don't have many from your continent. Good luck.

Thank you BLUESZONE for your offer, I will sure contact you, although I do hope these packages make it safely to Egypt. I hate when they get lost in the mail Quote:I also have a couple of full 41' and up Lincoln Cent books plus a partial 09'-40' book I would trade for some coins from your part of the world. What do you mean by (full 41' and up Lincoln Cent books plus a partial 09'-40' book) are these years?

EG, My extra Lincoln cents are in Whitman folders. They run from 1909-1940, 1941-1974, 1975-? I don't remember when the last one ends. I have the last two folders full of extras and maybe 1/3 of the early book full. I'm not actively trying to sell them so whenever you get these other sets done let me know what you need.

As we all have noted in the past, those Folders may be OK for little kids to play around with but for long term storage, they could actually damage the coins. Usually if any moisture gets to the glue on the back of the slots the coins are in, it adhears to the coins. Not good. I'm still amazed how anyone could accumulate all our coins in Egypt. It appears so far away and remote to accumulate so many of our coins in such great condition. I'm wondering if you show and/or tell many others about those US coins. If so, what do they say about them? How are our coins seen by people in a far distant land? And glad your here on this forum too.

Carl, What you say about the folders is true. I would definately check all the coins before trading them to someone. Some of these I have pick up at pawn shops over the years and never have taken the coins out to check them. I can assure EG if we traded he could send them back to me if unsatisfied.

Quote: I'm still amazed how anyone could accumulate all our coins in Egypt. It appears so far away and remote to accumulate so many of our coins in such great condition Well its around 11000 Km between Egypt and USA so you can imagine how far did these coins travel and you may be amazed if you know that I didn't purchase any ..... they are all added through trades and gifts I have been collecting USA coins for 5 years now and I am about to complete most of the sets I have started 5 years ago ..... I think that all you need is love and dedication and I love USA coins and I am dedicated to coin collecting Quote:I'm wondering if you show and/or tell many others about those US coins. If so, what do they say about them? How are our coins seen by people in a far distant land I do show my coins to my family and I am trying to make my two little daughters interested in coin collecting through these sets. I do also show them to other Egyptian collectors and they are very amazed too. Most of the collectors whom I know dont have sets of American coins. They collect it by type more than dates, mint marks or varieties. Thus they were very interested to see such sets as most of them have never seen a complete set of US coins before. I have joined a coin club here in Egypt a year ago and since then I have posted many articles about my US collection in the club website. I try to add as much info as possible about the coins and I get many good replies for that. They have made a section for US coins and asked me to be its moderator. I even sometimes receive calls from dealers and collectors (whom I dont know or even know how did they get my mobile number)asking about some US coins they have and want to identify or value the club and forum members call me "The American coins specialist" They thought first that I was living in USA and they were amazed to know that I have never traveled outside Egypt and they were amazed (and I think you may be)to know that I do have US coins in my collection more than any other country including Egypt

You may want to suggest to all your fellow collectors to also join this forum. It is always great to hear from those far away as to what they collect and how. Also, they too may want to start trading. It is always fantastic to hear from people like you and similar others that also have the same interests.
