I am wondering if anyone knows of any shows coming up soon that are in or around the Nashville, TN area? I have been looking to go to a show for quite some time and was wondering if anyone might know anything? It would really be helpful! OR where I could find out!

Thanks!

I've been checking as well. They haven't had one in months, nor is there one scheduled that I could find.

Casutherland- I have heard from some relatives of mine who live in the area that Nashville has had nearly no coin shows since the early 2000s. Regarding shows Nashville seems to be a pretty dry area.

Here is a great website that has a list of coin shows for TN. It looks like there is a show coming up in October for Nashville.

Sorry, the "Club Shows.html" in the above post should be apart of the link.

Yes I will for sure be looking. It doesn't make much sense, especially since metal detecting is so big here, you would think that coin collection would be also?

I think it has mostly to do with the 9.25% sales tax. Coins are not tax exempt in TN, and that can be a dealbreaker. One show did come last year, but unfortunately it was right after the flood. It didn't do very well.

The Coin Purse in Green Hills is a great place. They're really helpful, have all the supplies you need, and a good selection of coins. Other than that, look out for good deals on ebay or eCrater, and roll hunt. That's what I do.

Every shop is going to have a premium; they're no exception. Pawn shops around here are much worse! If one even has anything, they're very proud of it. The only way to get coins below spot is to either find them in change or a roll, or find someone who doesn't know what they're worth.

I know this doesn't answer your question, but there is a Hendersonville Coin Club that meets every 3rd Monday in Hendersonville. It's about 20 minutes north of Downtown Nashville.

I would like to have a coin show 20 minutes away. The closest/regular one to me is about an hour away (metro Atlanta), usually on the 2nd Sunday in a month.
