So I have an American Revolution Bicentennial Medal from 1974 with John Adams on it. On the back it says "First Continental Congress For the Just Recovery of Our Rights".

Does anybody know the silver content for this medal? I've seen conflicting ASW listed online on different pages. And different fineness for that matter.

Philadelphia Mint. Is that now the New York Mint?

Thanks.

Copper-nickel, not silver.

You sure? I don't see Copper-nickel listed any where for it.

Saw bronze and silver proof listed here https://www.workingmancoins.com/ForSale/BicMed.htm . My guess would be sterling as the 1973 Proof is sterling by the U.S.Mint as well.

Well, I found some more information here: http://en.allexperts.com/q/Coin-Col...3-Silver.htm
So it looks like they were minted in sterling silver. I don't understand why it is so hard to find information on these, especially where they are made by th U.S. Mint. Does anybody know any good Medal/Medallion books?
