It is trying to be an 8 reales cob, from Spanish Colonial times, pics are not clear enough to tell if it is real or a copy, these are highly copied for tourist pieces. This link is as close as I could find to match your pics,

A couple of dollars, maybe? I own a similar piece (mine is bronze, while yours seems to be brass) but it was bought in a bulk lot of mixed world coins; the average price per coin was 56 cents.

I should also point out that it's technically illegal to sell it in the United States if it doesn't have "COPY" stamped or engraved on it somewhere.
