Large date. Note how the bottom of the 7 is lower than the 0?

LD
The 70-S small date is a dramatic difference when you first see one.
I searched bank rolls for 10+ years, and then I was like "Whoa...so that's a small date"

Your excellent detail photo of the date makes this obvious to an experienced collector ... 1970-S large date.

I suggest you study Coop analysis and compare to your own finds ... this is a tough variety for many to identify ... but should be obvious once you know what to look for.

Pleased to address any and all questions in this friendly forum.

questions are for learning. Didn't mean to be so critical.

I asked a lot of silly questions, and there are many who were patient with me also.....

I will also answer as many questions as you have coins..... if you ask.....

Large Date....

p.s.....I have found a Small Date in circulation this year, so there is one less out there,
but they are there.....Happy Hunting

This one was easy to tell, and Coops photos are extremely easy to distinguish, but many people who submit photos for determination do not think or know about lighting the inner loop/tip, so the direction and the very tip portion can be easily seen. With a coin in hand, and being able to adjust the lighting under a loupe, it should much easier.

Large. The "7" top should level with the 1, 9 and 0 of the date if it is a small date. If I'm correct, experts call this a high 7.
