I started getting into coin collecting when my grandfather died. Over the course of the past 6 months I have become more and more interested in collecting and coin roll hunting. I was unsure of where to post this so I started a new topic...

Since I have started I have found:
297 wheat pennies: oldest 1916
18 War Nickels
4 Buffalo nickels
53 roosevelt silver dimes
5 Mercury dimes
1 Silver quarter-- 1964
2 40% half dollars
1 90% half dollars
2 proof coins-- one dime and one nickel

I am working on completing my 1938-date nickel collection using a dansco in which I am only missing 6 dates

I am also working on the 1946-date dansco book and the 1964-date half dollar dansco

So far I have had a lot of fun searching and continue to keep going, but during the school year I will have to cut back since I am in college. Until then I am going to keep searching. My favorites are dimes for sure!

Oh and for nickels I also keep all pre 60 nickels. In a box I did yesterday I managed to get one buffalo, one War Nickel, and I am pretty sure nearly 25% of the box was from the 1940s!

Happy Roll Hunting All!

Thank you guys!
And No I did not inherit any significant coins from my grandfather. He just had an accumulation of coins.. He had several wheatpennies, War Nickels, Buffalo nickels, silver half dollars silver dimes, etc...

But around christmas I did receive something that is worth a HUGE chunk of change!

It is 7 uncirculated bills
100$ bill from 1926
10$ bill from 1901
5$ bill from 1899
1$ bill from 1862
1$ bill from 1896
1$ bill from 1863
1$ bill from 1917

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT SOMETHING LIKE THIS WOULD BE WORTH? I will also post in the correction section just thought id ask now. They are all uncirculated and its framed

Let's see pix before trying values. Not everything in a frame is uncirculated.

i posted a topic in the currency portion of this... it has raised some controvery it seems. I only was able to get phone pics of it, but let me be certain that they are uncirculated. the only error I made was that the 100$ bill is from 1928

the only error that was obvious from the pix was that. others gave up, but the $5 isn't 1886, either.
