the problem is when you say liberty coins or liberty dollar does it say the word liberty dollar? because I'm guessing you have silver eagles and not liberty dollars. which would be good because liberty dollars are not made by our mint. they are a private coin. next question is if they are silver eagles made by the usa are they proof or mint are they in soft plastic or hard plastic? 1969 dime spend it 1917 we need pics

the 1917 dime is called a Mercury dime, and right now its worth about 3 dollars, maybe more depending on condition. that's the only one I can tell from your description, can we get some pics? Quote: I'm guessing you have silver eagles silver eagles were not made until 1986

Pictures would greatly help for each one, but as a general assessment: For the first four coins we would need to know the denominations of each. For the 1972 D Dollar, even in Mint State, it's not worth much more than face value. For the 1969 Dime, again, it isn't worth much more than face value. However, the 1917 dime you have is a Mercury dime, and one dated 1917 with no mint mark, could be worth between $5 and $180, depending on the grade of the coin. We would need pictures to determine this.

Some pics of what you have would be the only real way to get an idea. Besides aiding identification of these coins, the pics would give an idea of what condition the coins are in (crucial to value). Someone mentioned Liberty Dollars - yours cannot be these b/c the first Liberty Dollar was made in 1998.

You see this a lot, non-collectors don't know who the person is pictured on the coin so they just refer tot he me as "Liberty" dollars, half dollars etc because they see that big word Liberty on the front.

Not with those dates 1979 and 1980. I would guess he has Susan B Anthony dollars since he is unfamiliar with them and they also have LIBERTY and the date on the obverse in large letters.
