Kizr Khan (1414-1421.AD) who ruled Delhi as the first Sultan of the Sayyid dynasty never issued coins in his name. Instead he overstamped dates on Firoz shah's (1351-88.AD) coins. These ones are usually listed as posthumous issues of Firoz but in reality, coins bearing the name of Firoz and dates later than 790.AH are issues of either Kizr of Mubarak shah (1421-1434.AD) the second ruler of the Sayyid group.Mubarak issued over struck coins during the first half of his rule.

Billon - 8.5gms - Tanka...A rare find.

Copper - 4.2gms - Half Falus ... Obverse legend is similar to that of Muhammad of Malwa(1435-36.AD) except that "Muhammad" is placed below "sultan".Reverse legend reads Dehli and that is the sole aid to identify this as Delhi coin.

Alam shah, the last Sayyid ruler was willing to quit rule. Bahlul Lodi (1451-1489.AD) was invited to rule Delhi and Alam willfully abdicated the throne in his favour.

Copper - 9.4gms - Two Falus ...Bahlul issued coins in copper and billon and refrained from coining in Silver or Gold due to difficulty in procuring metal.

Sikandar Lodi was followed by Ibrahim Lodi (1517-1526.AD). He was unpopular and the nobles finally invited Babur to invade India.

Ibrahim Lodi lost the first war of Panipat fought in the year 1526.AD to Babur (1526-1530.AD), the Mughal. His son Humayun ruled until 1540.AD but was defeated by Sher Khan who took title as Sher shah (1540-1545.AD). His influence on Indian economics has been long lasting and far reaching.

Copper - 1.1gms - 1/20 Paisa ...The date on the coin reads "(9)42".AH but Sher shah began rule only in 945.AH. The obverse reads "sher" (شير)and so the date might be an error for (9)46.AH.
