Congrats seal006,you and I are in the same club now. I found mine a little while ago. As for value I would like a "real" value for it myself. I wonder if I could get $430.00 for mine? John1 https://goccf.com/t/85290

Thanks everyone. John, I was shocked. I was like, oh well, another 88-D. I flip it over and just glance at the initials. It did not catch my eye at first because I was so accustom to being disappointed. I glanced again. I thought maybe the G took a PMD hit. So I get out my 30X loop, as I think all this roll searching has messed with my eyesight. Then OMG, NO, OMG, YESSSSSSS. I always buy $20 in dimes, $20 in nickels, and $10 in cents when I go to the bank. I usually go on Mondays, to search during the week, and Fridays for the weekend. I finally found a branch at Wells Fargo that really enjoys seeing me and wondering what I have found. They are even saving halves and Ikes for me now. They are going to completely flip out over this.

Quote: As for value I would like a "real" value for it myself. I wonder if I could get $430.00 for mine? Not sure what you mean by "real" value, but I know of another that sold for $500 in MS-61...it's now on ebay for twice that (BIN)

Anyone know of a good website that gives a good description of this variation?
I am sad to stay that my amature self has never looked for them...I feel like I missed the bus...I have looked through thousands of coins in the last 3 months...wish I would have known about this variation...

Description here. The difference is the font used for the initials. Compare an '88 to an '89 to see the difference. Or of you don't see a difference, then you've got the '88 reverse of '89.
