You think you've found it all. Then there's the stuff that's beyond the reach of dime-store. 13 wheaties and an IH too, all frome all ballpark dedicated in 1976, from a hunt last Monday. When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors... Roll hunting since '77 Dirt fishing since '72

Nice find! Wow, that 1909 barber looks to be in incredibly nice shape for a metal detecting find!

Might be worth some "digging" to find out what was on the property before it was a ball field. Could be an interesting story.

Great finds! I wish I could find some like that. I went out for a hunt last night and I ended up getting skunked. Just a bunch of junk, not even a coin. I guess it didn't help that it was high tide. Oh well. Glad someone else on this forum is finding stuff.

Keep in mind baseball was very popular early on, many of these diamonds were played on around 1900 and earlier. I have hunted several ballfields that you would never expect to dig oldies. If you research, you can almost always find info on the old public spots. I managed to dig 25+ silver from one, including a Seated dime. This was a 3-acre field. County park ballfields have produce large cents, Standing quarters, Barber halves, and more. Get out there and hit those fields!
