Dear Coinsfolk,
as a turn of fate, I'll be visiting Genoa in Liguria/Italy next week. Heard that it's a lovely place. Will go and see it myself. Haven't been to Italy for about 20 years, so it is definitely going to be interesting. Do we have any members close to Genoa or living there acutally?..
Or, anyone has any idea if there's a good coin shop there? Would love to buy some old Italian and French coins while I am there.
Thanks.

Thanks jbuck! yeah I am sure it'll be pretty amazing as Italy is an amazing country. I already have some Italian coins, even some older ones. I'll share what I grabbed after I return.

I had to check my list to see what Italian coins I have...

1941 Italy 20 Lire
1954 Italy 5 Lire
1957 Italy 20 Lire
1955 Italy 50 Lire
1956 Italy 100 Lire

My dark side collection is small, but it seems like I had more than I thought.

I also have a 1941 20 Lire,
I have almost complete pre euro Italian coins, post 1949, with circulating comemoritives, mostly uncirculated (thanks to rosso_rubino, we traded).
I have some 1860's copper 10 cents and a silver 1876 Vit Emmanuelle 5 Lire (silver, crownsize coin)
I also have Italian Euros too. Let's see what I'll find there!:)
PS : Italian and French coins have great designs, I think.
