This coin is tiny. It looks like the first 8 has doubling. Also has a die cracks on the obverse. Anybody else see doubling?

I see the 8--interesting! I don't know enough how these dies were made to venture a guess as to cause.
Perhaps the date was repunched, or they re-engraved the die? I'll defer to the experts.

The doubling in the first 8 is too small I cannot determine whether it is a DD, MD or a DDD. I see an amalgam of MD and DDD at the reverse.
