As usual getting away from the original question. Which is better? I did notice you did not even ask for quantities. To start with if your talking about a Mint Mark, there is no P on the coin for Phily Mint. Also, much depends on the condition of the coin. Oddly enough for the 1920 Mercury dime there is little differences in the values for any of the 1920's. Naturally due to high quantities the Plain, Phily one, is the least valuable so that would mean the D or S is BETTER.
