I picked up what I believe to be an 1836 Bust Half. The 3 looks like a Zero and the 6 seems to askew. I would appreciate some input on whether anyone else agrees on it being 1836 and input on it being a mint error as in has anyone seen this error before. Thanks

Where did you get it from?

Judging from the denticles it looks to be a cast copy. I could be wrong in this but something doesn't seem right about it.

Got from a young guy who inherited it from his grandfather. Was in a safe deposit box that supposedly hadn't been opened since 1958. Local coin shop says its a valid US Bust half and immediately offered to purchase for 150.00 which I declined. I know its not a reeded or I wish a 38 O but I would like to find out if it might be a one of a kind mint error that might kick up its value a bit.
