I sent two 1882H Hub Tripled to PCGS for Cross-grading from CCCS (a VF20 and VG8). Here's to hoping the VF20 will become PCGS's first 1882H Hub Tripled without a "details" designation

When they sank the die, it took three cycles of annealing the die, then pressing the punch into the die, to fully transfer the design. They either messed up the alignment between cycles, or used different punches that had slight differences, or both.

So what is the count on found 1882 Hub tripled? < 10 it seems.
There was one in last nights TOREX auction, but it was heavily cleaned and seller asking "full price" - no sale.

That was the 1882 doubled, not tripled...
The 1882 Tripled has never been offered for sale publicly.

gidjit...did you buy that US lot with the 1882 triple regina scribbled on the 2x2? I was contemplating pulling the trigger.
I think the prices in the post above would apply if the variety was published in a major work and had been known for at least a few years.
right now, I think you'd get something comparable to the 1882 Double Die...a few hundred $.

There was a big lot of canadian silver and bronze coins that sold a few weeks ago that may or may not have had a VG example...
