I will be honest. It almost looks too good for the price. The fields are almost too clean. I love this series but would like more input on this one.

one online coin dealer has a 1902 IHC, Variety 3 Bronze in "Ch About Unc-55" for $57 plus shipping.

The color looks odd to me, I have seen exactly the same re color in an article in Coin & Banknote Magazine. That article related to the faking of Australian pennies. I am NO expert on IHC's, but the coin otherwise looks OK to me.

I have purchased from this seller and have been pleased with my purchases I have made. I think I have a couple coins from him over the past 10 years

My guess is about MS-63 but then I'm a lousy grader. Still I've seen many IHC's in the 1900 eras (00 to 05 or 06) for much, much less and in similar grades. I'd say nice coin but excessively over priced. Should be about $60+ and no where near the price listed.

It looks like a gem to this oldtimer. I'd say MS65 PQ; superb fields with a few tiny marks about ONE CENT on the reverse, keeping it perhaps from a higher grade. I'd want to see it in natural lighting to gauge the luster. The seller has excellent feedback plus a seven day return. As a type coin, I see it as worth taking a shot, given the super obverse.
If you guys can find comparable Indians to this one for $60 apiece, buy a few rolls!

It looks like a beautiful coin! The only mark I see is on the reverse to the right of the shield. The price is too high though, combined with that fact that we would have to pay tax = way too much imho.

Looks pretty good to me. MS-64 or greater? Surface looks original and no marks. At that price, good deal

The 1 is repunched, not sure on the rest of the date.

Quote: If you guys can find comparable Indians to this one for $60 apiece, buy a few rolls! Obviously you don't go to coin shows. At many of the coin shows I go to there is one dealer that always has those in about that grade for about $60+. Highest I've ever seen any of his in the 1900 to 1908 eras is about $80 but that one he claimed was MS-65 but I doubt that.

You know, I looked at coins from them in the past. Why don't you give them a call and get their opinion. They may be willing to share what they know. =)
Not ALL coin dealers are scum. ; )

Such huge jumps (as always) between MS63-64-65. You would think this coin is MS64 at minimum, so fairly priced. A lot riding on what someone else thinks the grade is. What is it worth to you raw is the question, if your trying to grade and flip, tough to say. Great looking IHC for sure, I would actually guess MS65 but I don't matter here.

Thanks guys. I don't have it hand but my guess would be 65 RD if I had to guess. I am with Johnny54321. Anytime I see a seller on ebay from California, where we are, I try to avoid if he has sales tax.

I've bought quite a few things from this dealer and have been more than pleased with every one of them.
