My first post here, hope I'm in the right place.

Do these detached leaves mean anything? The coin as a whole looks great.

In the grand scheme of things, detached leaves are pretty common in the Morgan world. Leaf-to-branch intersections are points of very low relief in the die, and polishing removes them easily.

nice reply Noel, and as SD notes this is classic die polishing which removes the surface of some of the features of the coin, and often in time its the leaves which show the
"disconnection"...As it is a Pick Up Pint, without the whole coins OBV and REV pics its just a best guess game...Full pics are required by those who know the coin...

I can remember when those examples of overpolishing got me excited, sometimes still does.

Oh, and bishftl

my camera is not made for quality close-ups, this is the clearest I could come up with along with some other points I noticed.

Nice coin, appears to be a common variety, VAM 6.6a, 22 and VAM 11 come into play, one must note that the photagrapher's angle of his shot often often allows the viewer some room for interpretation of how high or low or how left or right the MM is...best analysis is when you have full photos, to compare with on the VW site, yet they only show minor pick up points, and no full photo's for a positive lock...the other point of interest would be to see if you have the spike in the 8, to narrow it down, and it could be they are of the same die family, but as its not a highly sought after coin few have thought to analyize its die progression...
