Well you know it isn't an 1800. And the 9 does seam to show a bit of a curve so I too ssy 1890.

It would have to be 1890 because the Carson City mint stopped minting coins in 1894. That rules out 1900. and the second digit looks like the top of an 8 . It can't be 1892 or 1893 either because the second 0 can be seen almost half way down and one would be able to discern a 2 or 3 instead of an 0.

I agree that it has to be 1890. The only other date that I could think of that would look like that one is 1880 but that can be ruled out because the third digit would look like the second digit which it doesn't on this coin.

1890-CC, VAM-7, I think. Not the position of the 1 in the date, and the tilted second C in the mint mark.
