Have been reading the posts and they have been both enjoyable and informative. However, I have noticed a number of references to a 7070.
This is a completely foreign term to me so any help will be really appreciated.
Thx Jim

It's the album number for the Dansco Type Set Album. 7070 is just the short hand way of referring to one.

The Dansco7070 is the most fun I have had with my collecting since I first found out what a Morgan VAM was. I was starting to get burned out a little with the Morgans and this set came along just in time to spark the fire under my rear end once again

Just to add on to what the other have said. To describe the Dansco 7070 in layman's terms. You get every type of coin from the 20th century and put it in a neat little folder. From the Seated Liberty dime to the Morgan dollar to the Trade dollar to bust halves it has it all lol. IF you are going to start one be prepared o spent a lot of money.

Actually you get a hole for every type from 1800 to the present, with a few exceptions. I love building a Dansco 7070 Type Set

I took me awhile to figure out what a 7070 was after seeing it referred to a number of times. Upon reflection I should have just asked like You did and I would have figured it out much quicker. This is a great forum. BTW - my 7070 is coming along nicely.
