I'm thinking this is a late state die dime. See what others say but I think the doubling you see is Machine Doubling. A broadstrike is struck out of the collar so on dimes there will not be any reeding formed on the edge and the diameter will be larger than normal. Is this the case?

MAD. VLDS. Heavy die polishing. The mark on the M is a coin scratch.

It's a normal, typical, low quality dime as most are from the 1980s.

I agree with the above. I think what you're seeing is Die Deterioration Doubling.
