Just as the title says. I feel that I will collect coins for the rest of my life. Also what was your first set of coins you completed?

I've been collecting coins seriously for only about 7-8 monthes. The first complete set I had was my Jefferson nickels, I think. Now I'm on to much more demanding sets, like the 7070 and CBH Date Set.

Off and on for almost 40 years, but only the last 4 or 5 years with any seriousness.

Over 40 years in a half-hearted manner, just getting back into it seriously in the last 9 months. Can't remember the first set I completed, but it was most likely Australian sixpences 1910 - 1963.

I've been collecting since I was 8 or 9, around 35 years. I got more involved around 2 years ago, starting cataloguing my collection, taking better care, spending more, etc. I'm trying to get my daughter involved. She seems interested, time will tell. She's 11.

I saved interesting coins almost all my life and got serious about State Quarters in 1999. But it was discovering, in 2003, that I actually could afford to buy a gold coin that caused the complete transition from accumulator to collector.

I've been collecting since I was 13, that is to say for 20 years now but I really got involved in it since the last 6 month or so

It's been kind of sporadic for me. I started collecting for a few years beginning in 1987, (I was 10). Then there was a gap from the early 90s to about late 1999. Collected for a couple years again, and then kind of put coins on the back burner. Now I am back at it again, and with a larger budget!! Thundercoin

Oops, forgot to answer the question about the first set completed. I have tended to be more of a type coin collector than a collector of any one coin. The only complete set I have is Franklin halves. Thundercoin

I will have been collecting for three years this Christmas. I haven't completed any sets yet and may not as I am going the type route with Pre Franklin half dollars right now. That should keep me busy for awhile.

Off and on for about 30 years. Serious for the last 7 months. I don't think I have any complete sets yet. Seems like when I try to complete one set, I get side tracked to a new set and so on.....loving every minute of it though.

I'm a collector now for over 20 years, started when I was abouth 18 or so, and my first complete set I had was the 1 cent serie of Juliana from 1950 till 1980.
The trouble with the collecting thing is that you always want more, and still I look for coins to expand my collection, even now, sinds we got the euro (the worst thing for type and year collectors) I still look for new pieces to add to my collection ;-)

I originally started 19 years ago. I only started to collect seriously 6 years ago. In that 19 year time I have yet to complete any series, I'm a bit all over the place when it comes to collection.

I started collecting as a little kid sometime around 1980 - by my reckoning, that makes it over 25 years.
Complete sets? I'm more of an OFEC collector (One From Every Country); "complete sets" aren't a high priority for me. I only have one "set" that could be considered "complete" - my New Zealand penny collection. A nice small set (only 24 coins) and nice and cheap - I bought the whole set, intact, from a dealer for only AU$8!
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
