These don't usually turn out to be very good deals - common date coins, and I don't see any guarantees about the condition of the enclosed examples. Price seems very high, considering.

Probably $27-28 for the coins and $71-72 for the packaging. I bet all the coins in this set have been polished.

That Mercury looks really strange, also something about the lettering on the quarter just doesn't seem right. I also tend to distrust anyone who refers to steel cents as "rare". Definitely a bad deal IMO.

You know all those culls that people are selling for melt value? Now you know where they're going.

It's a marketing scheme targeting a generation who had more trust in businesses and their products. Hence all the snazzy but worthless prose/packaging.
I've been there when people come into shops, having bought stuff like this, expecting they'll get back their investment. Perhaps, if silver someday climbs to $200/ounce.

I think people are paying for the frame and presentation... Because the coins are totally not worth that price.

Me thinks you can do better purchasing these coins off of ebay individually.

It's not like you're getting those exact coins--they're images dropped-in, probably because the real ones are culls.
