Found this one a few minutes ago. The area between 2 and 4 o'clock looks raised and is mirror like. There is also a couple of raised marks between the N and the rim in UNITED.What causes this? All input welcome. Thanks as always,John1

It appears to be a die dent.

Wouldn't a die dent effect the rim/edge of the coin too?

Are there "negative rims" on a working die? I didn't think so but good pictures are hard to find.

The FG looks like that area and the lower edge may be an overpolishing. But why the distinct line?

Could a repair have been attempted to the die, incorrectly or incompletely, and the product of that repair been transferred to the blank?
