Not sure what happened to this LMC, but the rim is fine, just the fields and object on the OBV and REV are like this....some sort of explanation? was it struck through cloth? Added value? Thanks!

I believe that the coin has been subjected to heat, more than likely a propane torch or similar device.

I agree with John1. Also either a 1977, 1997, or 1999 D.

Or you could call a new find the Mint did not advertise as a Textured Finish. You've got the Burnished and Satin finishes.

1977-D or 1979-D. It has the reverse type common to those years, but the last two digits are too mutilated to tell.

This coin was definitely worked over after it left the mint. This is post mint damage.
