I don't know anything about Canadian coins & am hoping ya'll can help me out with this dime. I'm looking for grading opinions & valuation. I hope these pics are good enough.

great detail left in the coin but no luster. This may appeal to someone looking to fill a hole in their album but unfortunately I don't think it would fetch mutch over spot ( so basically its worth the silver in my opinion )

I have a similar dime, a 1910 to be exact that I found when I was working in construction downtown in an old building. My dime however survived 2 fires in that building and is about the same color if not darker. I took mine to a local coin store and they said they would only pay bullion price.

The pic shows the coin to be darker than it really is. The background should be bright white instead of grey & the coin color is also lighter. There is some luster lurking beneath the toning. A quick web search showed that the 1934 dime has a mintage of around 400,000. Wouldn't that make it a key date in the series & therefore increase value above bullion?

That is a great dime you have there, its hard to tell from the picture as far as color goes but I would call this a choice vf30 dime. Mintage is 409,067 making it a key date and the second hardest dime for the design and series. I would place a value of $30 on the dime, that's just over the vf20 bv of the guide that I frequent. I would say that its a little better the spot lol. I'll send the paypal for the spot price right now if you want ;) haha

This dime came from a large collection I bought few months ago. I'm finally getting around to looking at the few non-US coins. This particular dime was in a paper envelope labeled 1934 10 Cent AU. In hand it looks a lot better than my picture. The color is quite a bit lighter & there is tons of detail with very little, if any wear. I'm not very impressed with the dark, splotchy toning.
