1883-O VAM 1-D Die Gouge Wing?

I just wanted some confirmation on this attribution and a possible grade. I'm not very familiar with Morgans, but recently purchased this coin and decided to figure out what VAM it is. After my research, I believe it to be VAM-1D. I also wanted an opinion on grade. I believe it to be MS despite the weakness around the ear on the obverse and the eagle's chest on the reverse. However, I looked into this and believe that New Orleans coins are notorious for weak strikes, especially in these two areas. Any thoughts are appreciated.
