Nice story amassey08873. Mine are on the way, already sold the sealed box of five (crazy isn't it?). Is there any personal info on the invoice that I should be worried about? Some folks have chimed in earlier about it, but I would feel better with first-hand experience. Thanks!

Nothing but a phone number and of course your address, I sold a sealed box for $800. I'm not worried about any info on there. I did do a little research and I believe the buyer owns a large car dealership on his own Rd. in FL. I had to ease the guilt, it started to really bother me. And the only reason why it made it to the number it did, is ebay kept taking it down! So with every time I re posted it the price went up do to frustration. 3 Times they took me down, until I followed all the rules, except for not having in hand. So really I should be thanking ebay. My original price was $600. I've got one other set I'm going to keep sealed and wait for the first round of numbers to come out before I do anything with it. I feel the quality is great on the ones I've seen so far, OhowIh82w8 Thats a tough spot! You just have to weigh your options, with your desires. Would it feel better looking at your amazing set but lose out on the top dollar it would bring sealed. Or would it feel better to spend an extra $500 to get them all graded, You keep the 70set, and pretty much name your price on the 4 set with the most desired label. Or would it feel better making a killing and posting the 5 sets for $5000 and taking your kids on that great Disney trip, then you can reinvest $1000 for a graded set, and still walk away with 4 grand. I know its a little high, but I'm willing to bet someone will pay for it. I'd almost guarantee it. Don't open them right away, unless your not going to bother yourself with how much you could of made. I mean you can still sell the coins if you open the box and you still get to keep a set, you even get to cherry pick the best of the best. I'm do circles. What ever you choose make it count! Best of luck on your decision. Even though its a hard choice, its a great choice to have!

I just got this email below from PCGS, I thought I share. Also, anyone got any news about the same issue from NGC and their course of action?IMPORTANT UPDATE: November 10, 2011. We have received the first submissions of the 25th Anniversary Coins. The mint sealed packaging includes a Certificate of Authenticity. That certificate lists all 5 coins. In that list the bullion coin with no mint mark is reported to be minted in either San Francisco or West Point. This information conflicts with earlier reports so PCGS contacted the mint directly. We were told by a mint official that while most of the no mint coins were minted in San Francisco there is no guarantee that all of the no mint coins were minted there. Consequently PCGS cannot label the no mint coins as (S) as originally planned. Those coins are still eligible for 25th Anniversary Labels and for First Strike according to the already published guidelines. We apologize for all the confusion. PCGS will recognize all five coins as 25th Anniversary coins if they are submitted in their original, unopened mint packaging. Since the "S" mint and Reverse Proof have only been made for the 25th Anniversary set, they can be sent in from an opened mint package and still receive the 25th Anniversary designation; however, the other coins in the set cannot. In order to have all five coins designated as 25th Anniversary they must be submitted in their unopened mint packaging. All five of the coins are eligible for recognition as First Strike. Standard First Strike rules apply; see our submission form to select this option. To submit your Silver Eagle 25th Anniversary Set, please follow these guidelines: Silver Eagle 25th Anniversary Sets may be submitted under the Modern service level or higher To receive the 25th Anniversary Set designation, sets must be submitted in their unopened (sealed) mint packaging All five (5) coins are eligible for First Strike designation for an additional $18 per coin Coins submitted for First Strike will receive the First Strike label First Strike cutoff date: December 7, 2011 Only the "S" mint and reverse proof may be submitted from an opened mint package and still receive the 25th Anniversary Set and First Strike designation All 25th Anniversary coins, including First Strike, will be assigned a unique PCGS number (see below) Additional First Strike submission guidelines may be found at http://www.pcgs.com/services/firststrike.html For Bulk submissions, please contact PCGS Customer Service. I just posted this rant over at cointalk so I'll go ahead and put it here too. Essentially what it looks like to me is that someone at PCGS freaked out when they saw the COA, called "a mint official" and that person did not want to commit to what had been said before. In fact, there is no way that any of the bullion coins came out of West Point. There were already coins in inventory at SF when the mint decided to use SF coins in the sets, which were assembled at the SF mint. PCGS should at least have the guts to tell us who they talked to and if that person does not want to be identified then PCGS should not listen to anything they say. Tom Jurkowsky, Director of the mint's Office of Public Affairs had already stated that all of the bullion coins were minted in SF. PCGS should have either talked to him directly or simply stuck with the plan in place. There is no reason for any West Point mint coins to be in SF where the sets were assembled unless the mint had planned to use all WP coins from the beginning which is the opposite of what they said. When SF halted bullion production a couple months ago, it was sitting on almost a million coin inventory so there is no way they were unable to set enough coins aside to build the sets. I don't really care where the bullion coin is from, even if it is unknown. What burns me is that it appears that these operations are being run by a bunch of wimps who don't even seem to understand the very business they serve. PCGS claims in the email that the COA was a surprise, even though they knew that the story of where the coins came from had gone from unknown to a specific mint. Did they think the COAs were printed after Mr. Jurkowsky's statement? Did it occur to them how odd it would have been to send WP coins to SF when SF had a huge inventory? Did they talk to Jurjowsky himself for clarification? Of course the initial statement said that the coins could come from anywhere, that is the mint default position, that the coins are all the same, no matter where they come from and that is what they got when they called "a mint official", the canned answer "there is no guarantee that all of the no mint coins were minted there". Mr. Jurkowsky should have been given the opportunity to personally address the issue before any change in policy was made. Spineless knee jerk reaction.

I have placed 2 orders one at 4:15:48 and according to the customer service people my status reads "your order request is in process" and has been that way for a long time, my order # 383704xx, was placed before the sold out status, Which some customer service people say was between 4:30 and 5 pm.In no way, was that time before 4:15:48.... I am told to wait and my order should be filled, being around half the orders received have not been filled yet. I see many members have their set(s) and I can not say how happy I am for you all. I have never had this chain of events occur like this before, I deep down feel I stand a good chance of receiving my order, the CS agents say technically my order should be filled, I am placing this message up for all to see because of all the differing opinions I see posted about certain people and their slim chances of receiving any coins. I have placed hundreds of orders before and this event is in no way like any I have seen before. I sure hope to be one of the lucky few, if not, I will be disappointed for sure......... For all others who are "in the same position" just hang in there......I will say this, I would not like to find these coins, if I receive them, In the way the mint/proof sets have been found once I opened them, quality control is NOT what it needs to be and simply, things like that should NEVER even be a consideration, after all the millions of orders placed by people like us who pay to just hope to have what we were promised, quality, first class United States Of America Mint coins..........

My set arrived today (order #38327xxx), ordered placed at 12:15 via the telephone. They are beautiful, however be careful as you open the inside box, one of my coins had popped out of the plastic case.

Morgans dad, thanks for the info. My order for one set is 3836xxxx, submitted at 1pm PT. From what I've been reading on the forums so far, our chances are good. Some people have claimed they received cancelled emails yesterday so I've been constantly checking my email inbox hoping that is not the case for me. So far so good.

Quote:Dear United States Mint Customer, Thank you so much for your interest in the American Eagle 25th Anniversary Silver Coin Set. Due to overwhelming demand, the product reached its production limit in sales quickly and the United States Mint accepted a limited number of orders on a waiting list in the event that products became available due to order cancellations. Unfortunately, based on the time your order was taken, we can now confirm that your waiting list order will not be processed. Please note you will receive an order cancellation notification confirming this when your order is cancelled from our system. The United States Mint This message was sent from a notification only e-mail address that cannot accept incoming e-mail messages. Please do not reply. Visit http://www.usmint.gov for more information My friend got this email 2 days ago, he could not get trough all day until about 7pm est and was on the wait list so this should tell others who are on wait list something, not saying YOU won't get your order, just reporting his situation...

Quote: So, I might trade an MS70 2011-S for an MS70 2011-(S) (assuming both are anniversary set coins), but I probably wouldn't do it if they were both 69s. darn....so I guess the trade is off? Bogus, knee-jerk reaction by PCGS and I assume NGC will wimp out also...

I forgot to add:
I can't believe the reported amount of loose coins flying around inside those boxes especially the ones OUTSIDE of the capsules. Sounds like they didn't take the time to push the capsules into the holders.

Checking my order this morning ... I went back to "on hold" status
For me .. now this is getting crazy. I was on the phone three times to fix the credit card limit problem. I can now see that they have charged my debit/credit cards ... If there was another problem why did they not address it when I was on the phone with them?
What am I on hold for now? I hope they are going to be open today ...

Foxwoods Man, let's wait and see what develops. NGC wasn't planning on recognizing the coin as an (S) all along. It probably doesn't matter how they label the bullion coin. For label set collectors, what is going to matter is label and grade. MS70 with an FS or even ER anniversary set label on a bullion coin should still be a rare beast. Mostly. I am disappointed by what I see as an incredibly poor display of professionalism by the folks at PCGS. After getting everything set up, they panicked when they saw a COA that said exactly what they should have been expecting it to say. The very least they should have done was requested a statement from Tom Jurkowsky regarding the provenance or the bullion coins used in the set. Then if Mr. Jurkowsky had said that they did in fact have to use some WP coins to finish the sets, or if he said that only SF coins were actually used, they could move forward with the assurance that they are doing the right thing by their customers. Their reaction as it stands is little more than childish.
GR58, it is almost 8AM at the PBGS warehouse. Start calling them straight away and don't give up until it is fixed. Hold is not cancelled, at least not yet.
