My girlfriend and I have recently gotten into roll hunting. We found some interesting coins and would like some opinions from fellow forum members on what they are and if any are worth getting slabbed. Some I know are errors and others are ?

Lamination error?

Cud 2

? struck through a towel?
1-And-5c-Errors:-Cuds,-Die-Clash,-?,-Lamination-Error?
1-And-5c-Errors:-Cuds,-Die-Clash,-?,-Lamination-Error?

Not sure what this is but something is hinky with the liberty

Die clash error on the tails side. It looks like part of the clash is doubled

I think the one you label as a lamination error is just some kind of damage. " Cud #1" is either damage or possibly an internal die break, it's hard to tell from the picture, but it's not a Cud (a Cud always touches the rim). Cud #2 is indeed a nice Cud and a good find. The "hinky liberty" is just Die Deterioration, nothing special. The die clash is quite nice and a definite keeper. There is some of the clash showing on the obverse too, just not as wild.

No idea on the struck-through one.

Lamination error....silver paint
Cud 1..... die break or PMD
Cud 2..... nice Cud and worth keeping
Struck through.... someone torched the obverse...high heat damage
1st Nickel... most likely Die Deterioration.
2nd Nickel... if we had the exact weight of the nickel in grams it might tell us it is a sub weight planchet error as the coin looks rather dished on the reverse. It might be that it was struck on a planchet that was too thin. If not it is just a strong die clash

The clash isn't doubled. It is a strong clash.

Coin #4 has almost certainly been struck through something, a weight of the coin will confirm that it is not damage. It was struck through either a foreign object or a capped die, I think I see an outline of the Memorial and some columns which would make it a late stage brockage. The pic is not clear enough to determine for sure but look for signs of the Memorial or a ghost outline of Lincoln.

Thanks for all of the info! I will be ordering a scale soon (looking for one with 0.01 gram precision), so I will update with the weight when I can :)

1975 cent -- plated outside Mint
1952 cent -- die chip
1985 cent -- Cud
ND cent -- capped die strike
1986-P nickel -- Die Deterioration
1983-P nickel -- clashed dies

Your handle would indicate you're big into pitcher plants. A fascinating group from the standpoint of an evolutionary biologist.
