Educate me Mick, I don't know much about the Washington quarter value but why do you think ita a fake or a slab change?
I must admit,the "6" in 1963 looks a little odd.

Oh, I don't think the coin is fake, rather was suggesting the slab might be fake.

The uneven blotchy toning should keep this coin the the lower 60s. I can't believe PCGS would give it a PR68.

Maybe it toned in the slab.

looks like it obtained milk spots and I would definately send that thing in for the guarantee and see if they would downgrade that coin for the problems that are clearly visible

The milk spots developed after it was slabbed. As Bryan mentioned, it's definitely a candidate for guarantee action.

That was the first time I saw that kind of toning on a proof coin. Why would it tone inside the holder like that?
