Thanks again to Coppercoins for this great post on a topic seen here everyday! If you don't have it, bookmark it now for future reference. https://goccf.com/t/51410#51410I knew I had it bookmarked and referenced it again for this 1983 LMC and put it out there for those that might not have seen it yet. This 83 Reverse is struck slightly off centered while obverse appears off center with maybe a partial broadstrike, not sure. Common for a 83. I hope I got this correct and not giving out bad info. Reverse ONE CENTS quite obvious to me to be MD. Everyone agree?

I've been looking for the 1983 for a long, lomg time....they are indeed rare. For certain - I've looked at several thousand 1983's and have never found one.

It is not 1DR-001, or, 002...BUT, you have significant notching going on here...you CAN have MDD & DDR issues at the same time, which, I think, may be the case here...the notching looks strong enough, if this were my cent, I'd get it out to Bob Piazza, or BJ Neff, or your fav. attributor for examination asap...you may have a new listing for DDR... I still see only Machine Doubling. The areas in question you can see where the die movement pushed the metal. It is from a normal die.
