If we're only talking somewhat reasonable pricing, I'd say a lower end MS 1955 DD. A little less reasonable, I'd love to own a 1916 SLQ in BU. Really ridiculous, I wouldn't mind if somebody gave me an 1804 silver dollar I suppose.

I'd go with an uncirculated Morgan. I've never bought a Morgan, and just can't ever pull the trigger. A little more expensive, a 1909S non-VBD.

I keep thinking about this thread, and wonder what coin I would be very happy to buy.

My thoughts keep coming back to a 1893 S Morgan, I have located one, it may take quite
a while before I can get the owner to sell.

Second and third, some type of 1922 no D Lincoln and a 1916 D Mercury to complete those sets.

At this point a nice quality (XF or higher) 20 cent piece. It is the only (non-gold) denomination of US coin that I do not have.

One of my pie in the sky answers would be a high grade 4-dollar "Stella" gold piece. As you can see from both my answers I am a sucker for oddball denominations!

I want a high grade MS-60 1916-D Mercury dime. I've decided it's time to let go of my daytona watch- and if I find someone with a Merc I like, I might trade straight up for it.

Vermontensium,
Sorry it took so long to answer, I haven't been back here until now and haven't done much posting at all lately.
Fall is a busy time for me.

Anyway I'd like at least a nice G4 that shows the date and weak "n" well. I also want all the letters and most of the rim so maybe I'm looking at VG. I have a little over $500 saved so far but I get in these moods where I almost spend on other things. I almost bought a 1921 walker set (pds) last night.
Rest in Peace

I would be extremely happy with any authentic "Trade" dollar minted in Carson City. Must be in at least an AU grade.....

1861-O "Confederate" Seated Liberty half dollar. I'd also be happy with a 1909S-VDB as well, but the half would be the priority. A true 1861 Confederate half dollar though would be the ultimate dream coin for me though.

Nice call slowaltima on the Confederate Half.

I snagged my previously mentioned Type I SLQ , which I will of course post images as soon as I receive it.
What's next? Probably the "Rays" type Shield nickel.
