I don't know if they have a brick and mortar shop or not.

Keep us posted. I still need this one for my Dansco. I already have most of the semi-keys and the 1877. Keep us posted on how the set is going!

I will ... If I had to predict how this plays out, I'd say the Halifax specimen is real, and the Chino Hills specimen is real. The one I bought out of Florida ... I'm less confident about. We'll all know in time though.

The supposed S is too small, and too far left.

Chance: I don't see your mintmark. Sorry! (Though I still hope it's there!) One more example to add fuel to the fire: 1909 S IHC

Well, If Conder can see the supposed mint mark and tell me it's too far to the left and too small ... then I'm not the only one who can see an "S" there.
My question is this ... How many reverse dies would typically have been used to create a third of a million coins? So far I can see we're up to 2 ... and that just does not seem reasonable to me.
We'll see.

IHC die pairs during this time produced as many as 500,000 coins. So, with two (documented) die reverses for the 1909-S, that's about 150,000 per reverse die--a very reasonable amount.

I see it, but I don't know anything about this serious. Hopefully when it arrives you can get a better shot that makes the mint mark obvious.

I'll take definitive pictures when it arrives for sure. I've come up with a way to take super macro pics on a shoestring...and it works pretty well, though holding a lense against the camera's lense is a wee bit frustrating. Since it's presumably "left the building", here's a link to the listing. All my "help" probably doesn't help anyway. Load the image in the listing into your browser until it fills the screen, and step away from your browser a few feet. It's possible that I'm "off my nut" and just seeing what I want to see ... but I obviously don't think that's the case. It may appear smaller due to being buried in a layer of verdigris. http://www.ebay.com/itm/23062340867....m1439.l2649Chance
