Poll Question
Ok everyone I have about $200 to spend. What should I get? I have never had any gold, or platinum so I am kinda leaning towards that. Also how big is a 1/10 OZ Gold/Platinum eagle? Could someone post a pic of one next to a morgan or ASE for me please? Sorry mods if this is in the wrong section but I wasnt sure where to post it

Personally, I think this is the wrong time to be buying bullion. Too much volatility right now.
Buy coins from a series you like and enjoy.

I bought 10 ASE's on the drop. Trouble is, premiums go up to cover the loss, even so, I paid $10 ea less than I would have a week earlier.

There has been very clear and solid support at these price levels. I would Say Gold or Silver. Pt is kind of a wild card. It could so nothing, go up a little, or go up a lot. Harder to predict also.

I say Pt. It is an extremely useful metal and it will hold value beyond silver and gold.

Go with the SILVER, IMO Its going up, to new heights. Silvers def the way to go.

It's easier to move silver. Not everyone wanting to invest can buy gold but they can easily buy a round or 2 from you later.

Given the choice I would probably pickup some silver but gold would probably hold up better if the economy decides to go south. Both silver and platinum are used in many industrial applications but as mentioned before silver would probably be easier to liquidate.

Buy the ASE 5 Coin Set coming out soon......collector value with the Reverse Proof & different mints......potential investment value........and ......they're all Silver ! But $200.00 may not be enough for the issue price (unless spot keeps falling)

I like Eaglefoots idea on the 5 coin Silver Eagle set. May need to scrape up a few more bucks though. If not I like circulated pre 1964 silver coinage...

Percentage-wise silver is down the most in this latest dip so I'd get an ASE.

KEY DATE copper nickel or silver I have found that many of the LCS have been dealing with so much bullion that you can get some nice deals on non bullion coins
