I have quite a few partial sets of coins that I have collected out of circulation over the years. I have recently been working on my Mercury dime set and silver Washington quarters. I also picked up a Dansco 7070 album that I hope to add a coin to every once in a while when I stumble across a good deal.

I collect anything that was being minted in the mid 20th century on. I do not do any special commemorative. Lincoln cents, Jeff Nickels, Rosie dimes, Wash quart, Franklin & Kennedy halves, Pres, Sac, Anthony dollars)

eaglefoot,
I think we are collecting the same stuff. You are like me, I just can't say no to a series . Plus I like the variety, if I get a little burnt out on a series I switch to another.

I collect all denominations, all years, all mints, all types as long as they are round and called coins. Of course there are a lot of not so round ones, some called mills, some called tokens, etc. About 75% are all in Albums. About 75% are Whitman Albums. Also, plastic rolls of coins, boxes of coins in 2x2's and numerous coins in jars waiting to be sorted.

My Sets are mostly Dansco albums.......from "circulated" quality up to MS, Proofs, and Silver Proofs, and some albums are a combination of all.
Same here. Most of the business strikes came from circulation with the ultra-modern (~1980 and up) stuff being higher grades. Most proof holes were filled from broken proof sets.

I used to be a set collector before I got to be a dealer. I at one time wanted all the Half Dollars ever made in the U.S. A lofty goal, I know. At one point, though, I did have every U.S. half Dollar from 1892 - 2007 (All the Barbers to what was then the most recent), and about 27 Seated pieces and 4 Busts. When I started into coin dealing, these virtually got my business off the ground.

I collect circulated $1 and $.50 coins of all varieties (and make it a point to re-circulate my modern culls) where my wife is into roll-searching pennies.

It's the thrill of the hunt. :-)

Currently working on a set of ASE's, but that will take forever to complete. Also need to finish my set of MS Ikes. I just need 4 or 5 coins and that one's done.

Once I finish the Ike set, I will start working on a full set of Kennedys. I have all the Kennedys from '73 to '78.

Well lets see. I have a partial set of LWC from 09-40 I have been working on completing for some cough 25 years, but trying to do it with a low budget and a purchase of a 2500 ct bag some 25 years ago. More recently I am trying to grab up key-semi keys for a good price/grade ratio.

after taking my fiance to the local hobby/coin store today she told me she wants to get the statehood and ATB albums to fill with her girls! Low and behold I got a Glacier park P quarter in change from the store owner in change.

I put together 5 whitman #2 lincoln albums, also 2 #3's, two 64-87 Kennedy half albums, and like 5 State Quarter albums, just in the last year, we are talking circulated coins here that were carefully gone through. I did just put together a 99-2008&up LMC bicentennial album this weekend which really looks nice. I'm into copper LMC's, the ASE, 40% rolls, halves and bars.

Working on Lincoln's only really. I'm 20 coins away from a full wheat and memorial set, including all proofs (no matte) and popular rare varieties such as 72 double die, WAM's etc.... Wheats, all EF or better, 35 up all MS 64 or better!

Its been a fun set to put together, however I'm slowing down so much that I'm leaning toward starting a new set to fill some time. Thinking Buffalo nickels!
