Couple of questions, first to do the pictures do they have to remove the coins from the holders, do you pay just for the reholder and the pictures. Do they have to go into the new secure plus holder or can they be put in the regular holders,

Thanks,
Jim

Jim:

You just pay for a $10 reholder fee plus the cost of the TrueView, which is normally $20, but was on sale during March for only $10. So the total cost is normally $30 per coin, but I only paid $20 per coin for this last batch.

I buy all my coins already holdered, so I decided I would like to have each photographed and put in a nice new holder. Plus, PCGS is now using the new "edge" holders, so even more of a reason to get coins reholdered.

Some would say it's a waste of money to spend $30 per coin on top of the cost of the coins, but this is the cost of having a convenient way to enjoy my collection. I can put all of my coins away in the safety deposit box and can still look at them whenever I want, and also show them in this forum.

Eric . . great album toning on the Barber quarter. Do you have your sights set on any particular coin for your next addition or do you just wait til something catches your eye? You certainly have done a fine job with your choices so far.

I've since bought a 1913 Type 1 Buffalo nickel in MS65 and a 1902 Indian cent in MS64RB. I will post them when I get them photographed.

Update:

In addition to the two coins I listed in the previous post, I have some new additions:

1874 Seated Liberty dime With Arrows PCGS AU55 (blast white)
1964 Kennedy half dollar PCGS MS65 (rainbow mint set toning)
1937 Mercury dime PCGS MS66FB (rainbow album toning)

Plus I have in my possession an 1883 No Cents Liberty Head Nickel which is ungraded but which I am sending in. I believe it will be either MS64 or MS65, but we will see.

I have to send in the other coins for TrueViews which I will do sometime next month. I will post the pictures when I receive them.
